About Me

Hi, I'm Christy! My love of photography began when I was just in elementary school, I still have my first camera back from Kindergarten! By high school I was eager to enhance my knowledge and skills in photography. When I was 16 I had the opportunity to be dual enrolled in college while still attending high school. My college courses enabled me to broaden my knowledge of photography and put my skills to the test. After my second photography class I was able to enter several of my pieces in my college’s annual juried show. With the exception of one, all of my entries won awards; some were even purchased for FCCJ’s permanent collection. I started working at a portrait studio when I was 18 and worked my way up in the company from a seasonal photographer to Senior Manager. I am now 21 years old and trying share my love for photography and deliver memories for a lifetime through my lens.

My trip from Texas to Georgia

At the end of July I flew out to Texas to see my boyfriend Jon who had just come back from 15 months in Iraq. From Texas we started on a trip to Georgia, passing through Arkansas, spending the night in Memphis Tennesee, and finally ending up in Cherry Log, Georgia. Here are a few of the many pitures that were taken, from state signs to random little things around the cabin.

The first of serveral state signs

My attempt at getting the Tennessee sign at night going 70 MPH
...it was beautiful going over the Mississippi River though.

Welcome to Georgia!
After driving in to Georgia a few miles later you end up back in Tennessee!
(it worked out seeing my first attempt at TN didn't work so well!)

Sunset at Sunset Mountain Cabin!

Late night from our porch.
Nightfall
Spider hanging out on the porch.
Turtle in the middle of the road trying to keep us from leaving!
